Wakefield AFC Juniors takes Child Welfare and Safeguarding extremely

seriously, we work with the West Riding County FA (WRFCA) and

Garforth Junior Football League (GJFL) to ensure we are up to date with policies,

procedures, regulation and training.

The club operates a Players and Parents Code of Conduct which is agreed to when

signing on as a member and player for the club, this clearly states what is expected

in terms of behaviour and responsibilities as both a Player and Parent.

The club has a dedicated Child Welfare Officer, currently the role is being performed by Keith Moore, we also encourage teams to have a Parent Representative to help feedback issues, concerns etc.

There are lots of supporting information on the WRFCA website including the Safe Guarding & Welfare Zone and also the See it, Here it, Report it section.

You can report an incident of discrimination in football via the Kick It Out website, whether it took place online or at a grassroots, non-league or professional game - by filling in the online reporting form

The NSPCC is also there if you want to report child abuse and neglect, or are worried about a child and not sure what to do, we have advice for you. Don't wait until you're certain: if you have any concerns or suspicions, contact us as soon as possible.
